Instant water heaters
Compact units fitted directly above the shower point, drawing 3.6 to 6 kW depending on the model. Ideal for studios, single-bath flats, and households with one or two adults. Hot water arrives within seconds, no storage tank in sight, and the electrical cost only accrues during use.
Storage water heaters
Insulated tanks of 25 to 100 litres mounted in a service cupboard or attic. Suited to family homes with simultaneous demand — two showers running while the kitchen runs hot. The standing heat loss in modern tanks is a fraction of older units, and recovery time after a long shower is shorter than most people expect.
Solar-assisted systems
Roof-mounted collectors paired with a backup electric element, sized to deliver 60–80 % of annual hot water from sunlight. The capital cost is higher but the operating cost falls toward zero in dry months. We commission only the SIRIM-listed brands.
